These stained glass, shell and wire panels are COMPLETELY unique. They’re lovingly – and patiently! – made by Carol Coffin.
Carol combs the beaches of Maine to find her shell treasures particularly after stormy weather. If you don’t live by the ocean you can buy bags of shells at local hobby stores or at Amazon. It looks pretty varied and includes starfish which I thought might be fun!
You need: drapery glass (you can use any stained glass but this glass goes particularly well with the shells), shells, thin wire, gridded paper, mosaic glass cutter or glass saw (if using drapery stained glass), needle nose pliers, KwikClean, wax
Carol, takes great pride in her work and her attention to detail is evident in every piece of stained glass she makes. I purchased an angel to give to a dear friend who was thrilled and it was beautiful. I also purchased a dragon fly and a sun catcher. All the items are absolutely beautiful. When the sun shines in my window the sun catcher makes beautiful rainbows 🌈 in my kitchen. I live out of state and Carol made everything so easy and even shipped everything to me. She makes a wide variety of stained glass pieces, which all are so beautiful. I wish I could buy them all.. Thank you Carol !!

Working with Carol on a one-of-a kind, intricate stained-glass lamp was an education. I had no idea the intersection of design and physics involved. Her thoughtful and creative process produced a stunning piece that my family will enjoy for generations. She is an artisan!
Thank you again.
